ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ A man swore that his wife had committed adultery (1). The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, ordered the couple to separate (2) and attributed the child to the mother [with regards to kinship and inheritance]. (1) A man who accuses his wife of adultery swears to it four times and the fifth time ensures that he will be deserving of God's curse if he is lying. (2) Only a judge or ruler may separate a man from his wife in such cases. ”
